Dual Hangar Relocation, Rock Hill Airport
The project is a design-build project that will consist of the removal of two tall, single-story airplane hangers from the Gaston North Carolina Airport, upgrades and retrofits and reconstruction of the hangers at the Rock Hill, South Carolina Airport.

ESP is part of the design build team for geotechnical engineering services included a subsurface exploration of the existing soils at the proposed hanger construction area. Geotechnical engineering recommendations for subgrade repair operations, shallow foundations, and construction considerations for the proposed facilities. In addition, materials testing and special inpspection services for the facilities consist of: subgrade evaluations, density testing of fill soils, foundation bearing evaluations, reinforcing steel inspection, concrete testing and inspection and structural steel welding, framing and bolting inspection.
